Mahinda Rajapakse International Sports Complex

Mahinda Rajapakse International Sports Complex is currently under construction in an area of 126 acres in extent at Diyagama, within Homagama Divisional Secretariat.

This stadium is being constructed to provide international level sports facilities for local talented sportspersons and to conduct international level tournaments in the country. National Sports University is to be built here in an area selected 12.5 acres and it is anticipated to utilize these facilities for its purposes.

Following facilities of the stadium have been already constructed.

• Baseball field

• 400m synthetic running track

• Football and rugby ground

• Hostel (which can be accommodated for 150 persons)

• Administrative building

• Swimming Pool

• Indoor Stadium

• Cricket Stadium
