Future Plans of National Youth Corps North Western Province Centers Discussed

WARIYAPOLA: A special discussion regarding the progress of the previous year and the future strategic plans for the current year of the National Youth Corps (NYC) centers in the North Western Province was held yesterday (02nd) at the Wariyapola National Youth Corps Center. During the meeting, individual future plans for the 8 centers located within the province were reviewed in detail.

The discussion was chaired by the Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, Hon. Dinindu Saman Hennayake. Key officials including the Chairman of the National Youth Corps, Mr. Nalin Radampola, and the Director of the National Youth Corps, Mr. Gamini Wickramapala, along with various Center Plate Officers, participated in the session.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Minister Dinindu Saman Hennayake stated that based on the unique environment and courses offered at each center, specific customized development plans must be identified and implemented. He further emphasized the need to move away from traditional planning in favor of target-oriented strategies. He highlighted the importance of a strategic action plan designed to attract more youth to all National Youth Corps centers.

The National Youth Corps is currently conducting these provincial-level discussions across all its centers, with several more provincial meetings scheduled to take place in the near future.
